I love magazines! No, not the digital ones. Well, okay, I like those too – just not as much. I’m one of those people who prefer tangibles; so any print media that I can physically hold holds more value, to me, that some digital disaster taking up disk space on my phone, tablet, or computer thanks to things like cookies. I know I’m not the only one either. You may not think anyone notices, but we all see you snag the newest copy of People standing in line at the grocery store only to put it back upon checkout because the high price tag isn’t in the budget this time. Or maybe you just don’t need another magazine taking up valuable storage space. We’ve all done it. And lets be real, a 40 page, $6+ gossip rag is never in the budget – at least not in this house.
Even though I love magazines I refuse to shell out my hard-earned, tightly budgeted cash to buy them; so how am I able to indulge myself on being able to read some of my favorites? By taking surveys!
Yes, you read that correctly, surveys. While surveys can be beyond annoying – and overly intrusive, they also can serve as a way to indulge yourself in the things you want without having open your wallet to get them. Now, not every site is created equal; nor does every site have the same products available for their promotions. You have to do your research in order to find a company that provides the goods you want.
My magazine preferences are: Money., Entertainment Weekly, Simple Life, Bon Appétit, Better Homes & Gardens, and Real Simple amongst others; so we’re not exactly talking about the $1 rack at Target here. But guess what?
I’m getting them… every month… on subscription… and I didn’t even spend a penny.
How? I signed up for an account with a company called RewardSurvey. I’ve taken 3 surveys which rewarded me with “credits” and I’ve used those credits to subscribe to my favorite mags. Each survey has taken me less than 2 minutes to complete, from my phone, laying in bed snuggling my fur-children. Now that is what I call one hell of a deal!
RewardSurvey isn’t the only company that allows you to take surveys in exchange for magazine subscriptions; another easy-to-use site is FreeBizMags. FreeBizMags also offers limited (very) magazine titles for you to choose from. I guess as a way to suck you in and try their business publications.
That’s it. That’s my super simple way to save money while at the same time being able to indulge in one of my favorite things: magazines and reading!
Take a survey! Get a magazine subscription for free! Win-Win!
